Catch Me

By: Claire Contreras

★★★★★

In the past, I've always been given everything I've wanted, but nothing that I truly needed. I've experienced a lot of things in my twenty-five years, everything except the one thing I want. It's the one thing that can’t be bought. It can't even be taken, it has to be given. And nobody has ever given it to me, not really anyway.

Not until him.

Music is the center of both our lives, but as he found his place in it, I lost my way. He soared, while I spiraled down a destructive path.

I lost myself in more ways than I can count.

The ironic thing is that I didn’t realize how lost I was until he found me.

And now that he has, I have to wonder if he'll stay around long enough to catch me.

LOVED this book! Thank God I had the opportunity to read it!

Nick and Brooklyn suited each other perfectly, I couldn’t get enough of them! And still can’t! I think I have a Book Hangover after reading this.

This story was loving, funny and very emotional. I was surprised of how dark it got sometimes, and I even started crying for each one of them.

Brook may look like a broken girl, but for me she wasn’t. Why? Not everyone seek for help and not everyone admits their own mistakes. She was broken at first but she still stood tall after everything happened with the loss of her best friend Ryan, the betrayal of her current friend, and the hurtful words of her mother, and not receiving the attention she needed from her parents when she most needed a shoulder to cry on. She went through all that, she did make bad decision but we all do at some point of our lives. For me she was just lost.

And Nick found her.

He made her feel again, made her be herself with no judgment. He loved her for who she is and not for 'who is her family'.

If you haven’t read this, I don’t know what you are waiting for. Go on and get it. I fully recommend this book.

I really enjoyed this book and I’m glad I read it. I found it somehow like a life lesson I would never forget. Life is short, Live it to the fullest.

I think I just became a fan of Claire Contreras <3
